Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Reclaim Careers ("Reclaim," "we," "us") is operated by Adam Abdelrahim, a sole proprietor based in Maryland, United States. By using Reclaim, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
We've kept this short and readable. It is not a trick.
1. What Reclaim is
Reclaim is an AI-assisted job-search tool for software engineers. It scores open roles against your résumé, tells you honestly how your résumé and your level actually read, shows you where your skills land against real postings, helps you draft outreach, and helps you think about an offer.
What Reclaim is not:
- It is not a recruiter or an employment agency. We don't place you, represent you, or have relationships with the companies whose postings we index.
- It does not apply to jobs for you. Every message and application is yours to review and send yourself. We never contact anyone on your behalf.
- It is not legal, financial, or career-counseling advice. Our salary bands are rough estimates, clearly labeled as such. Our level calibration is our honest read, not an official assessment. Our market data reflects only the postings we monitor — a slice of the market, not the whole of it.
You are responsible for what you send. We give you drafts. You review them, you edit them, you decide whether they're true, and you press send.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18. Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. One person per account.
3. Your content
You own your content — your résumé, your notes, your messages, and the documents our AI generates from them. You keep all rights to them.
You grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to operate the service (including sending relevant parts to our AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy). We do not use your content to train models. We do not sell it.
You promise that:
- The résumé you upload is your own, and the experience in it is real. Reclaim is built on the premise that we do not lie for you; that only works if you don't lie to us.
- Any LinkedIn export you upload is your own data, exported by you from your own account.
- You will not upload other people's résumés, use the service to impersonate anyone, or use it to harass, spam, or deceive.
4. Data about other people
The Warm Paths feature lets you upload your own LinkedIn connections export, which contains information about other people. By uploading it, you confirm you obtained it lawfully from your own LinkedIn account.
We store the minimum needed (name, company, position, profile URL — never emails), never send the list to any AI model, and let you delete it at any time. Use it to reach out to people you actually have some basis to contact. Don't use it to spam. If you do, we'll terminate your account.
5. Payment
Reclaim is a monthly subscription. Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- New users get a 7-day free trial. You can cancel before it ends and pay nothing.
- Returning users do not get a second trial. If you've subscribed before, resubscribing charges you immediately. We tell you this before you pay.
- Cancel any time, in Settings. Your access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
- Cancelling does not delete your data. If you come back, your work is still there.
- Founding pricing, where offered, is a limited-time discount for early members. It is honored for as long as your subscription stays active.
- Refunds: we don't offer automatic refunds, but we are one person and we are reasonable. If something went genuinely wrong, email support@reclaim.careers.
6. What we promise, and what we don't
We are building this carefully and in good faith. We enforce honesty in our code: our tools refuse to invent a metric for your résumé, invent a market statistic, or invent a relationship you don't have. That is a design commitment we take seriously.
But: the service is provided "as is." AI makes mistakes. Job postings get filled or pulled without warning. Our corpus is a slice of the market, not all of it. Our salary bands are rough. We do not guarantee that you will get an interview, an offer, or a job. No one honestly can.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost job opportunities, lost wages, or lost offers.
This is a $20-a-month tool run by one person. Please size your expectations accordingly, and don't make an irreversible career decision on our word alone. Use your own judgment. That's the whole point of the product.
8. Ending things
You can leave any time — cancel in Settings, or delete your account entirely (Settings → Danger zone).
We can terminate your account if you break these terms — particularly if you upload someone else's résumé, misuse connections data, spam people, or abuse the service. We'll refund any unused prepaid time if we terminate you for a reason other than abuse.
We may discontinue the service. If we do, we'll give reasonable notice and stop charging you.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll email you. Continuing to use Reclaim after a change means you accept it.
10. Legal
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
